Cookie Policy
Country-specific legal context
Country context: Greece (GR)
Applicable privacy framework: GDPR (EU 2016/679) + Law 4624/2019. Electronic communications/cookies: Law 3471/2006, including Article 4(5) consent rule and necessary-technology exception.
Competent authority: Αρχή Προστασίας Δεδομένων Προσωπικού Χαρακτήρα (Hellenic Data Protection Authority)
Cookies / electronic marketing: Non-essential storage/access technologies require prior valid consent unless a statutory exception applies; national ePrivacy implementation also applies.
B2B governing-law position: B2B quote-only. Greek law remains the contractual choice unless otherwise agreed in writing, subject to overriding mandatory local rules and private-international-law rules that cannot lawfully be excluded.
This country context does not mean that POSguard has a local establishment in this country. POSguard remains established in Greece.
The country shown is only a reference context. It does not prove where you live or reside, and it does not by itself determine which law applies. The applicable law depends on the relevant facts and mandatory rules.
1. Scope
This Cookie Policy explains how POSguard uses cookies and similar storage technologies on posguard.gr. It applies to the website and its B2B catalogue, enquiry and compatibility-support functions.
2. Necessary technologies
Necessary storage may be used for security, core website functions and to remember your cookie consent choice. These technologies are required to provide the service requested by the visitor and are not used for advertising. POSguard uses the necessary cookie pg_consent_v2 solely to remember your cookie choice and consent-policy version for up to 180 days. When you explicitly open a country- or region-specific legal context, POSguard may also set the functional cookies pg_country, pg_us_state and pg_uk_region, as applicable, solely to remember that legal-context choice for up to 180 days. They are not used for advertising or profiling. When you manually choose a language, the functional cookie pg_lang_pref stores that choice for up to 180 days so your preference overrides automatic country-based language selection. It is not used for advertising or profiling. When you submit a POS photo identification request, the strictly functional HttpOnly cookie pg_ai_result may be stored for up to 90 days to let this browser reopen the private identification result without putting the access secret in the URL. It is not used for advertising or profiling.
3. Analytics
Analytics technologies are disabled by default and may be activated only after consent. If enabled, they may help POSguard understand traffic, usage and technical performance. Refusing analytics does not prevent access to the website.
4. Advertising and Google Consent Mode
Advertising technologies are disabled by default. POSguard implements Google Consent Mode v2 signals so analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization remain denied until the corresponding consent is granted. Google Consent Mode is a technical mechanism and does not replace the user consent interface. In this release, external advertising connectors and advertising technologies are disabled, and the consent interface cannot activate them.
5. Your choices and withdrawal
The consent layer is shown globally on the first visit. You may accept all optional technologies, reject all non-essential technologies, or set analytics and advertising separately. You can reopen Cookie Settings from the footer and change or withdraw your choice at any time. The consent preference is retained for up to 180 days unless you change it sooner.
6. Third parties and updates
Optional third-party measurement or advertising providers will only be activated when configured and permitted by your choice. If the tools or providers used by POSguard change, this policy and the relevant privacy information will be updated.
7. Contact and reference version
Questions about cookies or privacy may be sent to info@posguard.gr. The English version is the master/reference version used to maintain consistency across translations, subject to mandatory local law.
8. POSguard Ad Intelligence storage and consent
POSguard Ad Intelligence uses the browser localStorage key pg_growth_sid only after Analytics consent to maintain a random pseudonymous session identifier for up to 30 days, and sessionStorage key pg_growth_visit to recognise another page view within the same browser session. Campaign and interaction events may then be retained on the POSguard server for up to 90 days. Advertising click identifiers and remarketing-audience eligibility are processed only when Advertising consent is also granted. External GA4, Meta or Google Ads connectors are disabled by default and require separate configuration.
9. Meta advertising technologies
Public Facebook and Instagram links do not activate Meta tracking on POSguard by themselves. If configured, Meta Pixel and matching server-side Conversions API website events remain disabled until Advertising consent is granted. Withdrawing Advertising consent stops new website advertising events. Lead Ads submitted on Meta are handled under the separate lead-form context and are imported only when that integration is enabled.
10. Other first-party storage
On visits that contain campaign or referral parameters, sessionStorage pg_contact_attribution may store those parameters for the current browser-tab session; the shipped code does not gate this write on Analytics consent. When the model-experience feature is enabled on a public model page, localStorage pg_last_model may store that public model ID and name until replaced or browser storage is cleared. The __Host-PG_FORM_CSRF cookie and the POSGUARD_ADMIN and pg_public session cookies expire with the browser session. Analytics storage pg_growth_sid and pg_growth_visit is written only when Analytics consent permits tracking; the identifier has a 30-day validity, while an expired localStorage value can remain on the device until a later consented use replaces it or browser storage is cleared. Google and Meta advertising connectors and advertising technologies are disabled in this release.
