Terms of Use
Country-specific legal context
Country context: Greece (GR)
Applicable privacy framework: GDPR (EU 2016/679) + Law 4624/2019. Electronic communications/cookies: Law 3471/2006, including Article 4(5) consent rule and necessary-technology exception.
Competent authority: Αρχή Προστασίας Δεδομένων Προσωπικού Χαρακτήρα (Hellenic Data Protection Authority)
Cookies / electronic marketing: Non-essential storage/access technologies require prior valid consent unless a statutory exception applies; national ePrivacy implementation also applies.
B2B governing-law position: B2B quote-only. Greek law remains the contractual choice unless otherwise agreed in writing, subject to overriding mandatory local rules and private-international-law rules that cannot lawfully be excluded.
This country context does not mean that POSguard has a local establishment in this country. POSguard remains established in Greece.
The country shown is only a reference context. It does not prove where you live or reside, and it does not by itself determine which law applies. The applicable law depends on the relevant facts and mandatory rules.
1. Purpose and B2B scope
This website presents POSguard products and services and facilitates professional enquiries. It is intended for B2B use. It is not an online shop, does not provide online checkout and does not constitute a binding offer to sell to the public.
2. Product information, compatibility and independent status
Product, model, compatibility, image, availability and technical information is indicative and must be confirmed for the exact terminal model. POSguard supplies independent compatible accessories for third-party POS terminals. POSguard is not affiliated with, authorised by, sponsored by or endorsed by PAX, Verifone, Ingenico or other terminal manufacturers unless expressly stated. Final compatibility, price, taxes, delivery and commercial terms are confirmed in the quotation or order confirmation.
3. Enquiries, POS photos and contract formation
Sending an email, message, POS photo or other enquiry does not constitute order acceptance or create a binding contract. POS photos should show only the device and what is necessary for compatibility checking; the sender must have the right to provide the image and must remove personal, payment or confidential data. A contract arises only through express acceptance of a final quotation, order confirmation or another written agreement between the parties.
4. Trade marks and intellectual property
Manufacturer and POS model names, including PAX, Verifone and Ingenico, are used solely to identify intended compatibility. Third-party trade marks remain the property of their respective owners. POSguard branding, original text, graphics and proprietary materials may not be reused unlawfully.
5. Website availability and accuracy
POSguard seeks to keep information accurate and current, but the website may be changed, updated or temporarily unavailable. Website information does not replace written technical and commercial confirmation for a specific order.
6. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, POSguard is not liable for reliance on unconfirmed compatibility or for indirect losses arising solely from informational website content. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
7. Applicable law and English master version
Unless otherwise agreed in writing between business parties, the commercial relationship is governed by Greek law, without prejudice to mandatory conflict-of-law rules and any mandatory local provisions that apply. The English version is the master/reference version for translation consistency; localized versions are provided for convenience. If localized wording differs, the English version is used for interpretation to the extent permitted by law. Contact: info@posguard.gr.
B2B supply, delivery & risk
A website enquiry is not an accepted order. A contract is formed only after written acceptance of a quotation/order by POSguard. Delivery method, lead time, risk, title, taxes, customs and any agreed Incoterm are stated in the accepted quotation or order confirmation.
Returns, RMA & warranty
Business returns, inspection periods, RMA procedure and warranty remedies are governed by the accepted quotation/order and mandatory law. Defective or non-conforming goods should be reported promptly with order and product details. Nothing excludes rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
