This country context does not mean that POSguard has a local establishment in this country. POSguard remains established in Greece.
The country shown is only a reference context. It does not prove where you live or reside, and it does not by itself determine which law applies. The applicable law depends on the relevant facts and mandatory rules.
1. Controller and contact
The controller for this website and B2B enquiries is the business operating under the trading name POSguard and established in Greece. Available provider identification and contact details are published in the Legal Notice. Privacy requests may be sent to info@posguard.gr.
2. Data we process
This website does not provide account registration or online checkout. Hosting and security systems may process technical logs such as IP address, date/time, requested URL, browser or device information and security events. When you contact us, we may process your name, business contact details, enquiry content, POS model or compatibility information and any POS photo you voluntarily provide.
3. Purposes, legal bases and POS photos
We process information to answer enquiries, identify compatible accessories, prepare B2B quotations, take requested pre-contractual steps, protect the website and comply with legal obligations. Depending on the purpose, processing may rely on Article 6(1)(b), (c) or (f) GDPR and on consent only where consent is the appropriate legal basis. If you send a POS photo, remove or cover personal data, receipts, cardholder or payment data and other confidential information. Do not send special-category personal data. For Article 6(1)(f) GDPR, the legitimate interests pursued are website and network security, prevention of abuse or fraud, and efficient handling of B2B enquiries where those interests are not overridden by your rights. Providing contact and enquiry information is voluntary before you contact us; however, information necessary to identify the requested POS model, respond to the enquiry or prepare a quotation may be required to provide the requested service. If required information is not provided, we may be unable to assess compatibility or prepare a quotation.
4. Cookies and analytics
POSguard displays a global consent layer. Necessary technologies may operate for security, core functions and remembering your choice. Optional analytics and advertising technologies are disabled by default. Google Consent Mode v2 keeps analytics_storage, ad_storage, ad_user_data and ad_personalization denied until the corresponding consent is granted. You can reject non-essential technologies as directly as you can accept them and can later change or withdraw your choice through Cookie Settings in the footer. Further details are provided in the Cookie Policy. Advertising technologies and external Google/Meta advertising connectors are disabled in this release. The consent interface cannot activate them in this build.
5. Recipients, international transfers and no sale of data
Data may be processed by hosting, email and communication providers, professional advisers or competent authorities where necessary. POSguard does not sell personal data and does not disclose personal data to third parties for their own cross-context behavioural advertising. Where a provider processes personal data outside the EEA, an applicable adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards under Chapter V GDPR are used as required.
6. Security, retention and automated decisions
Reasonable technical and organisational measures appropriate to the risk are used. Data is retained only for as long as necessary for the enquiry, business relationship, security, dispute handling and applicable legal retention duties. This website does not use solely automated decision-making producing legal or similarly significant effects. POSguard does not use profiling or solely automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
7. Rights and complaints
Where the GDPR applies, you may exercise rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability where applicable, and objection, and you may withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent. You may lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority or another competent supervisory authority. Mandatory rights under applicable local law remain unaffected. Requests: info@posguard.gr.
8. AI-assisted POS photo identification
If you choose the AI-assisted POS photo identification service, POSguard first strips image metadata and resizes the photo, stores it privately, and—only after your explicit request—may send the sanitized image to the OpenAI API to suggest the likely POS model. OpenAI acts as a processor under its applicable business/API terms and DPA. API inputs and outputs are not used for model training by default. AI output is advisory, is subject to human verification, and cannot by itself create or publish a compatibility claim. Photo jobs are normally retained for up to 90 days unless a shorter deletion or a documented legal hold applies.
Visual Compatibility Twin may process up to three sanitized views of the same terminal to extract physical geometry and compare it with the POSguard model registry. These derived attributes do not create a compatibility claim and remain subject to human verification.
9. Campaign attribution and advertising intelligence
With Analytics consent, POSguard may use a random pseudonymous browser/session identifier to record campaign parameters, visited page or interaction events, model/category interest and an internal intent score so we can evaluate advertising and improve landing pages. The Growth store does not retain your IP address or User-Agent. Advertising click identifiers and remarketing-audience eligibility are recorded only after Advertising consent. Growth session data is normally retained for up to 90 days, while the browser identifier is renewed after 30 days. The score is used only for marketing prioritisation and does not produce legal or similarly significant automated decisions. No external advertising-platform connector is enabled unless POSguard separately configures it and the applicable consent and legal conditions are satisfied.
10. Facebook, Instagram and Meta integrations
POSguard may provide links to its Facebook or Instagram presence. If Meta Pixel or Conversions API is separately configured, website advertising events are sent to Meta only after Advertising consent and may include pseudonymous event, campaign and page/model context; POSguard does not send POS photos through these advertising connectors. Lead Ads information is imported into the B2B CRM only after a person submits a configured Meta lead form. Social publishing from the Admin is manual-approved only. Meta credentials are kept outside the website package in environment variables.
Processing matrix
We process only data necessary for enquiries, quotations, support, security, language/country preferences and, where enabled with valid consent, analytics. The applicable legal basis, recipients, retention and transfer safeguards depend on the purpose and jurisdiction.
Privacy choices
You may change optional-cookie choices at any time. Advertising and remarketing are currently disabled. Rights requests may be sent to info@posguard.gr.
AI photo notice
If you choose POS photo identification, upload only an image necessary to identify the terminal and avoid people, documents, payment-card data or other personal information. The result is assistive and requires human verification. Retention and any external processor are disclosed before or at collection.
