Safe checks before the next step

  1. Confirm the exact POS model and note whether the problem started after a drop, impact, update or accessory change.
  2. Try only basic, safe checks allowed by the provider or manufacturer, such as another card or an already verified compatible cable/charger.
  3. If the problem persists or tampering is suspected, stop tests that could damage the device and contact the provider or an authorised technician.

Payment-terminal security

Inspect the terminal for unusual changes, added components or signs of tampering. If tampering or substitution is suspected, stop using it and contact the merchant bank/provider or appropriate technician.
